The complete talk, organized by section.

Okay. Yep. Here we are. We're at the end of the conference programming.
Thank you for being with us for the last three days. I hope it has been fantastic and worthwhile.
Yesterday morning, I had mentioned how I typically measure the success of events like this, whether as the organizer or as an attendee. You want everything to be sort of high learning, high networking. Did you learn interesting things that are relevant to you, and did you meet interesting people that are doing amazing things?
And so I had hoped that at the end of the event, you'll feel exhilarated from hanging out with kindred spirits and fellow travelers, reconnected with friends, meeting people you admire, being a part of a community with shared goals, who are all sharing, love helping others succeed. You feel like you're learning from the best in the game, walking away with a ton of things to read, things to follow up on, and excited, having met new friends and potential collaborators.
And by the way, I'll just add one: you're meeting people who are pushing the frontiers of performance. There were so many presentations here where there's genuinely new frontiers being set. I definitely add that.
And so, by a round of applause, to what extent are you feeling like you've achieved those goals?
Fantastic.
All right. First, I want to thank all the speakers. We are here to listen to your stories and your expertise. So thank you to all of them.
I want to thank the programming committee, who have shaped the conference program that you've seen here all day today. And I certainly want to thank the IT Revolution team.
And by the way, because of their work, I can announce that the day one videos are now up, and so they are available for you to share with people.
Woo. Okay. Yes. Thank you.
And last I heard, technology is a team sport. It's not enough for you to have these aha moments, right? It takes others. And so these videos are here for you to share, and I highly recommend you start creating playlists. It's so easy. It literally takes less than 30 seconds to create your playlist. You can mail out those links. You can edit them afterwards. It really is like a Jupyter Notebook for playlists.
Our goal is to make it as easy for you to share what you need with others to help you achieve the things that you think are important for you and your organizations.
All right, so thank you to the conference ops team and the entire IT Revolution team. And so that includes my boss, my wife, and music director, Marrie Kim, and Beth Ann, Alex, Aaron, Marjorie, Lu, Anna, Leah, Lucy, and of course my buddy and co-MC, Jeff.
Jeff, I'll turn it over to you.
Jeff Gallimore
And I'll start off by saying thank you to Sonatype and the sponsors who have made this happen. So thank you.
Thanks, Gene.
All right. We are almost at the end of the DevOps Enterprise Summit 2023, but I have a little bit more information to share before we go and all hop into the planes, trains, and automobiles to take us back to the places where we live and where we work.
Don't miss out on your chance to pre-order Gene's and Steve's new book, Wiring the Winning Organization. If you do that by November 6th, you not only get a discount, but you also get bonus content. All right? We have the information posted in Slack to do that if you haven't already.
We also want to give a final shout-out to our sponsors, especially to IT Revolution for hosting this summit and creating this opportunity to get this community back together again, this community that matters so much to so many. So thank you, IT Revolution.
And thank you to our premier sponsor, Sonatype, and all of our other sponsors here at the summit for being a part of our DevOps journey this week and for being such an important part of this community.
Gene Kim
Yes, we can cover them too.
Jeff Gallimore
Now we're working on the videos and getting them posted in the video library. We have some of them already there. So if you go there, you'll be able to see some of the talks from the summit. If the talk that you want isn't there yet, keep checking back. I'm sure it will be there soon.
We've also made the session slides really easy to find. They are attached to each talk in the video library.
Now, the reason that we're making all of the videos available and all of the slides available is that we want you to share them. We want you to share the videos. We want you to share the slides. We want you to share the sponsor swag and prizes. Most of all, we want you to share your learnings and your stories from the summit with the people that you work with.
And speaking of sharing, you know what I'm going to say next: please get that session feedback in. Sharing is caring, and feedback is a gift.
Now, this week we've been talking a lot about community, and that's what this is. It's community, and it's the spirit of the DevOps Enterprise community to get together and to go faster as a community.
Now, every once in a while, someone will ask me why I spend so much of my time involved in this community. Well, the answer is really simple. This community is special, and the people in it matter to me.
You're so willing to share your insights and your experience and your ideas to help our organizations win, and to help each of us and our colleagues find more joy in our work.
Now, I don't want to speak for you, but I like more winning, and I like more joy. This community inspires me, teaches me, and supports me. So of course I want to spend more time involved in it and creating opportunities for us to get back together.
And we have an opportunity to do that in just four weeks at GeneCon.
Gene Kim
Unfortunately named GeneCon forever.
Jeff Gallimore
Yes, it's happening November 1st and 2nd. It's two half days. We've got the info posted in Slack for how to register. And it'll be our chance to virtually get together and continue connecting, sharing, and learning.
Gene Kim
And it's going to be great regardless of how it's named. It's going to be awesome.
Jeff Gallimore
It will be awesome.
And what will also be awesome is the opportunity to get back together in person next year in Vegas at the DevOps Enterprise Summit 2024. Stay tuned for the dates on that.
And until then, be safe. Be well. We hope to see you again soon.
Take care, everybody.
